So why did it do that I do not know, I have a call in to a lock smith, was hoping there was some secret way in! I will see about getting another key for it and the SRT since both only came with a single main key, or a valet key for the door.
There is a "feature" that if you unlock the car remotely, and then do not OPEN the door, the locks relock after a certain amount of time. But why it would just lock on it's own, I do not know.
I do now know that the once-claimed 'feature' that "the FOB being present in the ignition will prevent locking of the doors when the car is stationary" is simply wrong.
I WILL say that my Roadster is normally left unlocked in the garage, yet, at times, I go to open the door to find it locked. I always thought I locked it myself, by mistake --------- maybe not. My keys are never left in it, and the windows are always down, in the garage - so it's never been an issue.
