With twelve coils per car, out of this world ignition security etc., has anyone figured out how one person standing the XF, can crank the engine over.
You can do it that way, but if you don't wanna crawl under the car, this is how I do it (I've only done it twice in 12 years):

Make damn sure the car is in Park or neutral - this bypasses EVERYTHING and engages the starter - PERIOD.

1) Remove cover over underhood fuse box.
2) Pop the fuse carrier out of the box and lift it up and away 2-3 inches.
3) Yank the Pulse module out and unplug it.
4) Pop the cover off the Pulse Module.
5) Plug the module back in and press on the starter relay. (If the key is "ON", the engine may start, certainly the plugs and fuel injectors should fire. If the key is "OFF", the plugs and fuel injectors won't fire, but the starter WILL engage.)
6) There are two relays, if nothing happens, try the other relay (second relay is for the coolant pump in SRTs, even Limiteds and Base models have both relays.)
