There is a way to, at least, turn off that damn airbag light when the module fails. Based on the homework I have done in 2005 and 2007 service manuals, every Crossfire is wired the same in one way: Fuse 3 in the underhood fuse box powers ONLY the AIrbag Fault light on the left end of the instrument panel and the "Passenger AIrbag Disabled" light on the console.

Pulling this 5 amp fuse disables both lights. I just pulled mine (my car's airbag light has been on since 2016). I drove the car and all is fine. This does not mean the fault is gone, and in fact, in MY case, since a guy with the STAR tool looked at it, I know my airbags will not go off in an accident because my module is completely dead.

But I do not like airbags anyway. I was injured twice in car accidents in 2014 (Crossfire - not my fault) and 2015 (Dodge Ram Truck - my fault) and BOTH times the ONLY injury was from shrapnel due to defective Takata airbags. SInce I REFUSE to let a dealer near my car, I"m good with a disabled airbag.
