2) leave the subs as rear facing but run them as mid base from the rear speakers fron headunit
rear speakers from head unit to amp. Amp configuration remains unchanged.

HUGE Improvement.

I really want to try the front facing speaker adapter when/if they becomes available.
super happy with the improved sound. Have ordered Dynamat for the doors. I was on the highway today and felt the sound was a lot better.
The guy told you that because it's his job to make his product perform as well as it can.

1) RCA cables are shielded in a weak attempt to deal with noise (Electrical noise). In my 39 years in mobile electronics, the answer for a good auto sound system includes and demands LOW IMPEADANCE, high level signals. The RCA configuration is a low(er) level, high impedance (on the order of 1000 to 10,000 ohms) configuration. Speaker lead output is high(er) level, low impeadance (on the order of 2-16 ohms). This lower impedance gives less of a resistance for noise to form across. Running low impeadance configurations lowers noise vulnerability in audio as well as RF systems.

You can often get away with using the RCA lines, but again, in 39 years, Iv'e never even considered using them for concern for noise issues. This rule applies to vehicular siren/PA/Radio/Intercom systems universally.

2) His suggestion is pretty good and if you are happy, fine. But I gotta tell you, the best sound I have EVER heard from a Crossfire is Mary Diaz' car. She has surface mount 7 inch speakers behind the seats, facing forward, mounted in the hole for the factory speakers. I WISH I could find a picture of them, if I do, I will post it. The factory's idea of hiding them in the wall is kinda cool, but not, acoustically, a good idea. Front facing speakers are here NOW, just put conventional speakers in.
