To wrap the entire door pull handle you will have to remove it. To remove the handle you will probably have to remove the door panel. Unless I'm wrong, you have to access the parts where the screws go into from the back and push the tabs in to release the handle assembly.
I've taken the front part of the handle off, but I couldn't get the back part off. I was doing a post on reinforcing the door handles because eventually they will break.

You could also find someone selling one and ask them for the measurements. Hopefully this is helpful.
