Here in the USA, by law Chrysler has reached out to registered owners.
I have my airbag disconnected, I will not permit a CHrysler dealer to work on my car - EVER.
I would think you could contact Chrysler in your country or contact your country's vehicle safety authority about this.
@pizzaguy Thanks for your answer. Because I don't want to take any risk, I'm considering 2 things:
- disconnect the airbag as you recommend: is it a difficult task ?
- or replace it by a compatible airbag payload: is there a list of compatible airbags ? Is it possible to get the OEM P/N of the original cartridge to look for compatible ones ?
I'd prefer the second option as the airbag is still a safety device.
