since I double posted, I thought I would edit it and post some more pictures of how it's coming out. The headlights buffed out nice too.

Well I finished buffing and I figure it's not bad for a 65 year old who hasn't painted in a couple of years, using an old gun and a glorified garage:

If I thought I could do half as good as you have I would be repainting mine from the doors back. Looks better than most factory paint these days.

Beautiful! to do that quality of a job in your garage takes an artist. My hat's off to you.

Got a new key fob housing and replace the insides from the old to the new, works great. The only difference that I could tell was the new one is black instead of grey.

I replaced one of my keys to a new case a couple weeks ago, but now my spare key will only unlock the door, it will not start the car anymore ; (

It worked just fine before I changed the case, it was the key I carried around, it needed a new case so I switched all electronics to the new case, now the buttons work to unlock the doors but it is not transmitting signal to start car

Did you leave the little RFID chip ( it isn't part of the circuit board ) in the old case ?
It's a little black thing you might have mistaken for a rat turd........

This is the chip that you overlooked transferring into the new key fob . . .

It's a good thing you didn't throw away the old fob . . .

Just got back from a 50 mile top down cruise, first in two weeks. It's been cool and damp around here lately. That puts me just shy of 1000 miles for the season, the next time out will probably put me over the 1000 mark and just over 41,000 total miles.

Yesterday I had custom dog tags engraved. With my name and the car info on them. I have that for my
"Show" car so I guess I needed a set for my "go" car

Today, I pulled the TCM and put dielectric grease on it. And while i did that, hubby put in my
Cup holder delete/storage bin. I also pulled off my engine cover to bring it inside and scrub
it in the kitchen sink with the dishwand (no wife to fuss at ME!!)Lol... and brought in my wheel centercaps
so I can install my emblem decals.

So did the dielectric grease on the TCM contacts / connector solve your transmission issues?

Welll......I had the German shop where I take her for oil changes, etc., put in a special battery charger that fits on the wheel well in the engine compartment. It's small and high techie. So if I don't want to drive it for weeks because of crummy weather - I live in Canada - I can leave the car indefinitely and not worry about a dead battery.

Just hope I can remember to unplug it when I do back it out of the garage.......

Thank you Thornh, I appreciate the compliment. Sometimes everything just falls in place and this was one of those times.

Laughing - I'm in the middle of doing seven of the eight corvettes I have. This '67 was a barn find I found a few weeks ago, only 28k miles and you're right, it will be painted soon.

Thanks KJKen, More work than artistry I'm afraid but I truly appreciate the compliment.
