Finally started work on my new exhaust. Removed the front down tubes and CATs, cut the CATs off with my plasma cutter. Expanded the remaining ends and started measuring for the Y pipe. I might have to unbend the stock exhaust a few degrees for a good fit. Tomorrow, I want to cut the resonator off and the stock tips. Hope this sounds good, it will be a lot of planning and work for nothing if it sounds bad.

Finally got my Brabus Monoblock wheels installed after sitting in the garage for 3 years.

How could you leave nice wheels like that languish in the garage for 3 years? Glad you finally got 'em on, they look good.

I like the wheels! Nice look.....I just got the Nankang NS-20 tires put on the rear. They were only $247 shipped to my door and they seem to ride well....Needed all seasons living in NJ again.

Installed the clutch sensor (Bosch) and car started fine. Driving to work this morning engine died in freeway traffic at 65mph! I managed to avoid traffic and make it to the side of the rode.. Now it has been towed to a mechanic. Wish me luck.

Are you sure that is due to the clutch sensor? Did you put any error codes or description of the issues on the forum to see if others can help you before you take it to the mechanic? It's your money but I have seen very little problems on our cars that have not been fixed by the diagnostic skills of members and the relatively easy DIY repairs!

My last post in this thread:

Watched in awe of its beauty as the new owner drove it down my street to its new home. At least he was smiling from ear to ear.

Although I hadn't experienced any problems with the original Varta battery, which was over seven years old, I replaced it today with an AutoCraft Gold battery from Advance Auto.

Ahh...sadly, I'm just a old working guy and was not able to get my car running. As you said it is "my money" and I'd like to hold onto it, but my XFire is my only vehicle, a desire to enjoy before I'm gone. And I had to let the mechanics take it and fix it. There are other things that I have done, like the "sticky key" fix and new headlights. But, alas, I am unable to do somethings. Thank you all for the encouragement and I continue to learn more everyday and enjoy your postings.

Hardwired my new dash cam using a piggybacked fuse in the dash fuse panel. The wire is neatly hidden behind the window trim. The camera cannot be seen by the driver as it is completely behind the RV mirror.
The phone mike for the new Kenwood radio is now attached to the top of the reinstalled DS 'A' pillar trim. The wire is hidden behind the 'A' pillar trim and travels high under the dash to the radio.

I had previously added the flashing brake light and the LED lighting in the foot wells, glove box and the trunk area. Now to find the cause of the sometimes on and sometimes off bulb out indicator.

Installed a new Bosch CPS at 38,884 miles. The hard part was getting the electrical connector removed. Finally broke the clip that you are supposed to be able to squeeze to remove the connector. There is hardly any room to get hold of the clip. I put a little silicone seal on the connector when it was re installed. The good news is that it only took an hour.

I replaced my sagging headliner. Found a recommendation for a place in San Antonio off of these threads. I couldn't be happier. They were the nicest guys and did beautiful work in less than 4 hours!

Finally found someone selling their driver's side sunvisor and got it in the mail yesterday (based off an off-site link listed on these forums). Tonight I will no longer be driving with the view area of a tank!

I think she's got the measles on her silver windshield trim so I need to do research on here about fixing that.

Made a tool to help with removal of the rear suspension doughnuts and will test it in the morning. Also painted my caliper covers and bolts to match my engine bay.
