I traded my 2004 Chrysler Crossfire for a 1991 Lotus Elan M100, 106k miles, needs some TLC and paint job, window regulators are main thing. My wife didn't like the XF, I did, so I priced it high at $4900 with 196k miles, got an email from a guy with a stalled project and needing a daily driver, PO seems to have ADD like me, took door panels off and windows/regulators out before he found regulators, a headlight motor needs bolting back up, a lot of parts and pieces disassembled. It sat for a while and got dirty, the clear coat is peeling, had been rear ended and bumper repaired but still some small FG damage in trunk floor and rear quarters. Brakes are real weak but it drove on my trailer, has aftermarket muffler, AC is inop, sounds real nice. Maybe I'll have another XF some day, they are fun cars. A pic of a stock one is last one.

I was just out sanding on the clear coat tonight, fired it up for a while to listen to it, need to put some front brakes on it and start driving it, can't wait, it was a barn find that found me. I cleaned it with a little soap and water the other day, the water was so black. It came with the original wheels, I like them better than the 10 spoke wheels that are on it, although they might make good track wheels. They only imported about 500 of these into the US.

She didn't like it at first glance, her fav car is a black one like the XF, but it was too firm a ride for her, I'm not sure how stiff the Elan is but probably similar, good thing it's convertible season in Florida now. Not a lot of work compared to some of my projects, time seems to fly when I'm in the garage working on a project, won't take long to have this one on the road. These turbos seem to be pretty quick cars, maybe like a SRT6 XF.

Should have hit me up while you were here!!!

90mph, you're doing something wrong. Triple digits happen before I know it.

I didn't do 240 miles but I did drive mine today, went exploring in southeast Indiana. One of those days where you don't know where you are but, you keep driving until you come across someplace you recognize. Spent about two hours cruising and ended up around 70 miles for the round trip. Thinking of taking it to a show tomorrow, the weather is forecast to be very nice. There are only a couple left this season.

Speaking of pigs, took mine to maybe the last show of the year. Harley Davidson of Cincinnati and the Tri-State F100 club put it on at the Harley store. I thought I had a chance at one of the Top 30 because one of the judges seemed impressed with the car from a history/ design point of view plus, he mentioned a couple times how nice the car looked. Guess he was because I brought home one of these. Strange car show award but, it works because of Harley connection.

The weather co-operated enough to get the Crossfire to just 5 shows, but the good news is that it won something at 4 of them.

I went to replace hood strut and it was not proper one - fit - reorder.
Cleaned interior engine compartment.
Check engine light lit up code P0410
Checking RCM solder issue
Had a few starting steering wheel locking and key issue turning last week. Going to fix ignition switch.
Downloaded parts manual. Needing dash piece scratch badly ideas welcome.

Working them one at a time.

Removed the two "subs" behind the seats. They didn't seem to be working, so I'll drive awhile without them; Installed Goodridge brake lines from Rob.

Adjusted my front toe in myself, local shop wanted $100 to do it... Buying new tires for the front tomorrow, probably Pirellis like I currently have in the rear.

WHAT !!!! $100 ???
My local Chrysler dealer did FULL front and rear laser alignment twice a couple of months ago for $69, then $49 ( found a coupon in the mail ).
They even let me in to watch the tech and talk to him while he did it ! ( He was really good at his job )
Had to have it done twice cause the first time the rear camber was way out so I had to order the parts for the adjustable rear camber from Speedway, put 'em on at OEM spec length, then took it back.
( $79 + shipping for all 10 pieces for both rear camber arms )

I replaced the front upper control arms and lower ball joints. It was not too bad a job with just hand tools. I'd say it took about 2 hours all together. After 80k the front end felt a little loose. After test driving it feels nice and tight!
