The grill overlay was $245 which may be a little more than the alternatives, but not too bad.

I really like the look. Install very easy. Fit is very precise.....each piece snaps into place and is held in place with double sided adhesive. The fact that it is plastic made me hesitate at first until I thought....almost all grills are plastic. Pics attached.
I always loved the chrome overlays for our cars. Looks very classy and expensive.
My windshield mold, door handles and grill (silver part) started peeling off so I decided to paint all in the silver original color. While they were at it I decided to pain the whole grill in the same silver color as the windshield mold and it came out awesome. Was around that time when I read about the chrome overlays. I might hold off on it for now though since the silver actually looks really nice on mine.
I love the contrast of the chrome on your beautiful black Xfire though!

Here you go. Picture was taken with top piece still removed for painting. I posted these a while ago when I talked about headlight restoration in this thread (just scroll down a little)

Unfortunately, the forum stored the photos upside down. Maybe you can save them and rotate them to make them look normal. Thanks!
I think it looks good. Of course that's all up to your taste and preference.

Hey.....that's a great alternative on the grill. Looks good!

I'll also have to remember Sam's for headlight work down the road.

Can't get cleaner headlights + clear coat and a 5 year warrant for cheaper
I wanted to try something new so I had the grill repainted in the same color as door handles and windshield mold...came out better than expected!

I have no clue. They downloaded upside down so I flipped them over in Office Picture Manager and re-upped them.

Done more then a few, none on this engine (or any M engine) and unless the motor is very new i have to use a puller. most take almost nothing one they get going.. its just that first few ticks.. Some a tap or 2 with a hammer, some a HAMMER or two with a Hammer. And yesa couple took just some good jerks.

I say plan on puller and be surprised if it doesn't need it. Again i have never looked at this one, but if takes a puller there will be threads in the front to use one.

Yep, not much help, but thought I would chime in since nobody else is.

My pulley came off without much drama. (no puller, just wiggled off) Getting the new crank bolt properly torqued down was difficult. I needed an extension of around 3 feet long and don't forget the tool with extension to hold the pulley in place as you tighten the bolt. Do it right or don't touch it. I rented time on a lift and a tech helped. We did it from underneath the car.

What appearance mods are you having done on your Xfire? Would be cool to see some pics when it's done! Hope it comes out like you imagined!

Franc - how hard is it to change the fuel filter on the Crossfire and how messy? Are there any decent instructions on this and how much is a new filter (and what's the part number / manufacturer)?
