What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Twin to the wife's car.. only hers is 05 and mine is 06. Needs a little TLC but the price I got it for allows for that.. Was set on a 6 like this.. but hey how often do you really "need" that extra HP..
You'll have to teach me the trick of two drivers bringing 3 cars.. LOL..
I'm actually leaning towards bringing my Avalanche with spare wheels and tires.. Haven't decided for sure..

I recently picked up another Crossfire, an '04 six speed. The car runs fantastic but both doors had multiple dings and the left rear quarter looked like the paint bubbled, if I was to guess, it was parked where the sun was magnified through a window or something and the heat got to it. Anyway, I'm getting off the question, I started painting the car today, it's graphic like my SRT6, a pretty color. I sprayed a couple of sections today - getting it ready to completely spray tomorrow.

Removed the "Ferguson Super Store" off the trunk lid! HATE THAT CRAP... any good recommendations for glue removal at the rear window and fabric? Looks like sloppy attempts at a fix. Going to try 3M window weld before deciding new top time.

Greg, if you do decide that it is new top time, do it yourself ( with a helper ), not hard to do, and for once the manual is spot-on with the instructions.
At least you will know it is done right, take the time to put some silicone or otherwise lubricant in all the pivot joints when the fabric is off.
All you need is :
1. a good drill and sharp bit to drill the rivet heads off.
2. a shop-vac to hold next to the rivet head as you drill.
3. a cheapo pop rivet gun.
4. a magnet tool or grabber to get the drilled rivets that get away ( trust me, it's gonna happen )
Hint: I did mine in my garage and was able to tie the open tonneau cover to one of the overhead garage door tracks.
You can't prop it with a broomstick, that gets in the way.
Another tool needed is some channel lock pliers to tighten up the "U" channels where the side gaskets were removed, otherwise they won't stay in.
The channels get expanded when you remove the side window gaskets.
Also make certain you have the new top PERFECTLY centered on the rear bow before applying the little clips.
If you want to be really thorough, this is a good opportunity to remove the 7 hydraulic cylinders and send them to Klaus for overhaul.
This concludes "top replacement 101"

Thanks guys! I had read threads with goo gone mentioned.. and surfed over the top replacement thread.. didn't own a roadster at that point.. but "knew" it had been done and research would find it. Thanks for the "heads up" tips on it! Hopefully won't have to go that route since the top is still in pretty good shape..
Drove it to work today instead of riding the motorcycle since I have an afternoon meeting at the rail yard and another meeting later tonight when it's supposed to be pouring.
Installed my newly replaced headliner, it looks much better. It wasn't as difficult to remove/install as I was thinking it was going to be.
Tom, it sounds like you should ride the bike ,,that way the x-fire would not be in the rain. LOL. jim
I shot a base coat on the '04, notice a couple of things so I'm going to let her set up good and do a little touch up sanding before the second coat. I'm wondering if I should paint the trim around the windshield silver or the graphite, it needs painting too. I went ahead and painted the door handles graphite, but the spears will be silver. (any suggestions)
