It's not so much about what did you did today. It's more about what I've done over the past 2 weeks

2000 miles
-Calgary
-Spokane
-Salt Lake City
-Las Vegas
-Los Angeles
-Pismo beach (Clam capital)
-San Francisco/Oakland

Met with LM21, it was cool to meet someone from the forum.

11 days and not another crossfire in sight. 3 more days to go

From Snow to rain to sun and going back to rain/snow Sunday. I have met so many great people along the way.

Along the way;
-New tires on the front
-Steering dampener
And a series of misfires.
Catalytic converters failed on the right bank. All thebcrap from the top one came free and plugged the rear one. No replacement with straight pipes as an option in California
New cats on the right side.
Crap

The US Highways are amazing. Get your Crossfire's out of the garage and drive.

What a trip 😀🇨🇦🇺🇸

Nice Trip UrbanE :-)
Today i put these 7.5w t10 leds in,they are the brightest T10 ive tried.
here is a link : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331528824...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

They actually make the silver reflector shine like a strip of leds ,nice
a bit fiddly to put in because they are long .

I got this neat little $5 arm rest cushion from feabay ..

That's right you get two.
Because nipples usually come in pairs.
Duh, guess I missed that on the one I was looking at, thanks for point that out in your non-sarcastic way, 180.

Guess I'm not the sharpest pencil in the pack, but don't you need a speed bleeder for every wheel? Bleed the right rear 1st, farthest away, then the left wheel, etc.

You are correct, one for each caliper.

You took what I said out of context, he said he was getting a vacuum pump and Speed Bleeders. I said he did not need both.
I'd dump the vacuum pump and just use the bleeders.

180, you are correct, either over reacted or was as clear on the understanding as mud. My understanding was you need both. Well, have vacuum pump ordered and on the way, guess I'll try that 1st. BTW, thanks to all for your responses. George and 180, you guys are the best.

I was making light of your not seeing it written in the blurb but I find that people from the US have a different sense of humor than others.
Jokes have to be as obvious as a pie in the face and not subtle at all.
Different strokes I guess.

Unless you are Scaramanga, in which case you have 3.

I never took it as a disrespectfully or nasty thing. I've been here long enough and read enough of your post to understand you and your sense of humor. I grew up in Niagara Falls, NY area and many friends from over the border, Even dated a few of your fine women in my younger days. And still have a few friends. So as I say no harm, no foul.

Fixed the coolant overflow tank with a threaded brass nipple. Don't know where the hell the grommet under it went to. Must have flown off when I pulled the tank off. Fortunately had one that worked. Pulled the sub woofers out and prepped them for new foam surrounds.

Swapped out the CAB module/ABS pump, installed 4 new wheel speed sensors and speed bleeders then bled the brakes. Cautiously declaring a partial victory. Seems to have resolved the check engine, abs and brake light. Also no more wonky spoiler and limp mode. BAS/ESP light is still on, will tackle that one Saturday.

If they don't, then TRS ( The Retrofit Source ) now has Morimoto H7's that come with a cover extender, but they ain't cheap, about $125 US but without shipping.

Today I finally changed my Steering Dampner. Wrote about it in the Steering Dampner thread. Old unit is significantly stiffer than the replacement new one.

Mystery: the part number on my original Steering Dampner does not show in any searches.
A193 463 00 32

Old unit is significantly stiffer than the replacement new one.

New part is 124 463 04 32, commonly quoted in other posts.

Also received my 220uf capacitors today. Surprise...they're about 10 times the size I'd expected to see. Will install those another day.

The part showed up in my search on eBay CLICK
The figure 193 on the part number says it is the Mercedes number for parts made for the Crossfire. Do not buy anything made for the Crossfire if the identical part can be obtained using a part made for a Mercedes or better yet the OEM manufactures part number for a part they supplied to Mercedes for a car. Failing that a good copy of the part made by a reputable supplier.

My German isn't very good. Clearly, it's not a part available to USA eBayers. I always follow the Forum guidance on parts and sources...except when I decided to go with the "in stock" non-Bosch CPS. Learned that lesson, so no more rebellious action. Thanks for providing an answer to the mystery. No more Mercedes for Chrysler parts for me!
