I'll be awkward and say that is a very nice looking .....tree. What is it? There looks like some maple leaves on the ground.

Yes it's maple, it's been around quite a while and split at least once, there are several around the house. My neighbor taps trees and makes syrup every year he taps these and gives me a gallon of fresh maple syrup, I just love it.
And I don't bother raking leaves, there is hay field across the road that Mother Nature usually blows them into
Thanks for the nice comments, and I am hoping for at least 10 more pictures at least that will be a good start.

Great photo Rick. Barb and I drove over 200 miles Thursday and Friday looking at the Fall colors. All we had to do was drive up to your front yard to get some of the best photos.lol

I finally gave the car a much needed wash and spray wax yesterday. It had been about 3 weeks since its last bath. Being a new dad is exhausting!

I was on the interstate at night a couple days ago and traffic stopped. About a mile or two ahead I could see one of the ones we are using on someone's car. You can REALLY see those things even from far away.

It's called "debadging". Use dental floss to slowly pull through the gummy adhesive underneath.
