What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
John ! Guess I forgot to tell you that if you stop the top process with the tonneau open and the top raised, you can just reach in and undo the antenna.
Heck, you can even see what you are doing.
Mine didn't even require a wrench, just used my fingers, although I did use some pliers to make sure it was tight upon re-install.

By the way George, it is Dennis, not john. That is the 1st 4 letters of my last name. Again thanks a million, worked like a charm.

I ended up using the Schrader 20028 TPMS on both of the 05 SRT's. I'll do the SSB roadster next then all three will have been done. Did you test them by letting air out to see if the light comes back on? No, not yet but I intend to. Today I must learn how to change a headlight bulb. Peace

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Hey, that's what that girl in NYC called ME way back in 1974 when I went back to NY to visit my family from Ellsworth AFB in SD. She kept following me in Grand Central Station muttering 'John' and asking for 25 bucks... Ever since then I have called my older brother Jack (instead of John) (except as a greeting in any airport since the early 70's)... He he he he he

02-04-2017. Rebuilt the driveshaft with new bearing, carrier and guibos. Installed NeedsWings cat delete pipes, all in all a productive 6 hours. minor exhaust leak, so I'll try realigning pipes again tomorrow. Drive-line vibration still noticeable, but when I dropped the exhaust rear section I noticed that the heat from the pipes had cooked one of the CV boots (inboard, left) and there is grease everywhere, so I ordered new half-shafts and a DEI heat shield to protect the new CV boot from Amazon. That's next weekend's project. I'll attempt to rebuild the original half-shafts in the summer, if I can find a replacement CV joint.
02-05-2017. Realigned the exhaust v-band flange on drivers side. No more exhaust leaks. Lesson learned; get drivers side pipe on before tightening the passenger side to the rear section. Very impressed with the pipes so far.

Today i drained and refilled the oil with fresh mobil 1 0-40, put in new Mann fleece filter and drained the oil catch can . The can didnt have much oil in it maybe quarter cup. this is the first time i drained the catch can since it was installed 7k miles ago.
installed 2 new KN air filters ,washed and oiled the old ones for next time and washed and reused the Outerwears pre filters .
I have a 600 mile drive to do soon so im happy .
Now i just have to reset that pesky FSS display ,always seems a pain to do that bludy thing.

Replaced the hood strut because the CEL has been on due to some kind of an EGR problem (p0400) and tomorrow is the day to take it off and give it a bath with some oven cleaner!
I couldn't find any kind of instructions on 'how to remove EGR' so wish me luck!

Later,
Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I just changed the brake pads, old ones used to whistle once they get hot.
Also, I am not selling this car anytime soon after what I just discovered!
Some 'rebel coins' escaped from my pocket and dove into the gap around the seatbelt buckle.
I pushed the seat all the way to the steering wheel, picked up all the coins/trash I found and pushed the seat back. I am living the dream at the moment due to having so much leg room! So I guess there was a coin stuck on the rail and it wasnt allowing the seat to go all the way back.
I am 6'2 and I complained about the leg room for 4 years in here and the Crossfire facebook group!!!!
1 task left now. EGR cleaning.

I just tried opening the document from my original post. Didn't have any problems. But I am on my Home Office PC right now.

Took it in for an alignment, installed a 12" DEI heat shield over the exhaust where it cooks the CV joint.
Tomorrow I replace both half-shafts and rear wheel bearings (bearings just because, half-shafts because the one CV is bad, and I might as well...)
BTW... lovin' my Quickjacks
