Well, to answer your question:

yes. I have the MagnaFlow catback and didn't really pay attention before. Was working under the hood yesterday and noticed the "mute" quality of the hood when I closed it with the engine running.

did you change lug bolts? You might want to check, put the spacer on the wheel, and make sure that you have minimum of 5/8 of an inch of threads sticking through the backside, so that it will hold your tire on the car. I'm not telling you what to do, I just don't want anything to happen to the car, or yourself. It does look great, next time you buy tires you can buy a wider tire, Jim

what did I do to my crossfire today, park it in the garage, remove the computer, sent it to Rudy, should get it back in about a week,, no change were just checking everything.now I'm starting to remove the interior in the rear, I'm going to set it up so that I can remove the wing on a moments notice. I also ordered new rims got him from one of our members here. But I should be up and running in about a week and a half. So then back to the track I go,, and see if I can improve and get into the 10's,, I also removed all the rear links. I am making them all adjustable so I can move my rear wheels, to the rear of the car, that way when the tires balloon they won't be hitting my fenders, as they are doing now jim

That is very interesting, Jim. Are you just trying to make it look nicer or is there an alterior motive

I'm confused -- unless you plan on installing a different one in place of the SRT wing upon removal, this is extremely unsafe.

Even the Limited spoiler would help as you could at least have the lift broken up at the rear... running 130mph traps with no spoiler is asking for trouble. Not to mention, immediately after you hit the 120-130 mark, you're going to be hard on the brakes to slow by the turnoff at the end of the track. That will give additional lift to the rear... and once the rear becomes unsettled, it will be a handful at those speeds. Keeping the wing down on a Limited is one thing, as the 1/4 mile trap speeds are just barely into the danger zone (95-100) for creating lift with our cars... You're going to be going 30% faster than that with nothing to disrupt the lift.

I just don't want to read about you destroying your car (or worse) because you were trying to gain that additional tenth of a second.

I'm doing an experiment. Yes the board does have a downforce that downforce is not in effect until 120 or more. I tried to check to see if the smaller is like a drag chute holding me back and I found that in and 71° weather I ran the same times as I did and 60° weather so that's why I modified everything so that I can remove the wing at the track there'll be no problems up to about one 130,,135,, if it works my speed should increase without the rear wing I've also been looking at a way to lower the pitch on my spoiler.. other words make it almost level it would still work at high speeds but it would not be a drag at lower speeds.right now I'm doing some other mods so I'll let you know when I get back to the track and run two three runs with the wing and then 2or3 runs without it. Then install the wing back on and run two or three more to make sure that as a temp cools down,, that way we get good results .it will be at the end of February or early March before I get back to the track so I let you know what happens Jim

Rode her hard and put her away wet.

Auburn, AL to Lineville, AL 70 miles.

Lineville, AL to Hoover, AL 100 miles.

Hoover, AL to Auburn, AL 138 miles. This leg was accomplished in 92 minutes (4:10 CDT to 5:42 CDT). At ~ 14 MPG. And 90.00 MPH (avg.)
My daughter was pissed at me for it. And my wife doesn't know! The Passport went off once for a Ka band ASP trap, but with plenty of warning. Very little traffic. Top down. Deaf in my left ear for ~ 30 minutes.

It took ~ 1.5 ZZ Top albums to finish the trip.

Shucks - modify the tag frame mounting holes to be strong enough for a drag chute - cable it to the diff. All the kids will marvel at that ......

Not that you had any idea, but that site is owned and operated by a banned member from this forum. He was kicked off for ripping off multiple members in a group buy, I am glad the transactions seemed to work out for you, but I would not trust him further than I could throw him.

Search Dan Root or side skirt group buy and read the 20+ pages, if you care to. Just trying to give you a friendly heads up

This is all true.....don't give this guy a penny for anything he sells
He stole a lot of money from very good people here a few years ago in a group buy scam and doesn't deserve any of our business.

I drove mine about 240 miles round trip to see my Doctor. She had my lab report in her hand, and now I know why I've not been sleeping well the past few weeks. I'll be ok in about a week.

(A good doctor is hard to find, so I drive almost 90 miles one way just to see her.)

As for the car....(From my Facebook page)

Had to go to Griffin to see my favorite doctor today. What is it with people down there? It happened again... this time, it was someone in a Dodge Durango that wanted to race! (Yea, it was 75F and pretty out, so there I was, top down and driving a little spirited-ly) He had the horsepower to almost keep up. Then we entered the curve marked 30mph at somewhere around 60...

I will say, "NICE DRIVING" to who ever it was, as I looked back and he was almost sideways, skidding thru the curve, I could NOT BELIEVE he didn't loose it. I"d be cleaning the pudding out of my pants had I gone thru that!
