I'm not sure what you are asking... I fixed the problem where keys will "stick" in the ignition and owners will be unable to remove the key when the car is turned off. I also removed the extra "bolster" that is under the dash on American market cars. From what I've read, it was mandated to comply with federal safety standards that assume drivers will NOT wear seatbelts. I always use my seatbelt, so I felt comfortable removing the bolster in return for getting some more knee room!

Your post reads that in your case the two problems where connected.
Finally picked my car back up after having Needswings headers fitted went smooth took 6 hours, whilst they had them off I got a pair of sports cats/pipes made and fitted. Rear section was carried out last year keeping the original tail pipes but new back box. Sounds awesome not had chance to open it up properly yet due to the great British weather. Have a great new year everyone.
Not easy getting pics of the headers only got one side
Today I replaced the air filters, changed the oil and filter and started buffing out the paint and waxing. I got the hood done today. Will continue tomorrow.
A few days a go I noticed one of the bushings in the wing mechanism was falling out and the other was gone. I went to the auto parts store and got some fuel line/vacuum hose. (7/16" or 11mm O.D., approximately 7/32" or 5mm inner diameter).
I cut it to 1/4" or 5mm wide. I put a little silicone grease on them and put it on the pins where the originals were. It's working fine so far.

New Year's day I spent in the garage changing all 4 brake lines.
I used a few tips I learned from here as well as the Mercedes guy on youtube.
Invest $7.00 and get a set of vinyl vacuum line caps. Here's a few pics that I posted on the fakebook site:
I used the large cap to push the hose through the grommet on the front brake. It kept dirt from getting in the hose. I put a vicegrip on the hose a few inches down from the upper connection to clamp it shut. Cutting the hose lets you remove it from the caliper and you can pull the other end through the grommet easily.
I just checked mine - bushings look a little "flattened" where they sit in normal position, but otherwise in good shape. I'll have to look at those occasionally. That also reminded me that I need to wash that area..
My OEM Chrysler wind screen arrived late yesterday and I was quick to get it installed today. It is designed to be installed with screws but I didn't want to do that so I used 1/2 Inch 3M double sided trim tape that worked great. Won't get to try it out for a few days but here are some pictures. It also comes with a storage case if you want to take it off but it clears the roof so you don't have to.

Myself and many others have driven with the OE windstop secured only by the left/right velcro straps without a single incident. That bottom plastic strip was overkill by Chrysler.

But I think it adds a more finished look to the factory windstop.

Checked, rechecked, all A-OK. Thanks for the heads up!
