I appreciate what you guys and all the other combat veterans did serving our country.
I was lucky enough to have served as a tank driver in a mostly peacetime era. So I don't know if I'm qualified to say this, but, Welcome Home brothers.
Ran errands, delivered coffee to a new customer, gave Freya a quick self-serve wash, went to a weekly meeting, dropped the top about halfway there ... about 20 miles riding along the Santa Rita Mine and into the mountains around Mimbres Valley. Best thing I can ever do to my Crossfire is to drive and drive and drive ... had to pass a truck and decided to actually floor it ... a 30 mph increase and completed safe pass within 50 yards. Coasting down to the speed limit went quickly since the road was going uphill.
Car remained perfectly flat through the turns of the pass, the turns were precise, just where I pointed.
I have got to find a driving school and track reasonably close ... This car is way more capable than I am right now.

A HUGE Thank You as well, Brother! You are 100% qualified. IYKYK. Bases that gave up ppl to deploy had to fill in for all the manhours that were lost to the deployments, as well. They also should be all recognized with citations (IMHO), but many were not. What really pissed me off was the number of career enlisted who copped the 'conscientious objector' BS when called to serve in theater 'Desert Shield/Storm'. Two, three, & four term E5/E6's. These ppl swore to go every reenlistment, and copped out when asked to do what they signed up to do. All the ones I heard about from my base, were either transferred out to another base or allowed to serve on base. The ones I know about, were given Honorable discharges.... IMHO they should have been BC discharged as a minimum or sent to Leavenworth KS for defrauding the DOD & country, & made to pay back all the pay/benefits. We were pregnant when I went, had a boy (with complications) while I was there. Sorry, not sorry, for my opinion!

Thank you Brother! And I agree with your statement, If you sign the paper it is your duty to go. I think your opinion is on point.
nickwe21 After I sent Michael a message on Facebook he replied to me:
"Yes, I follow his page. He's a friend of a friend. Awesome work. I told Nick to share this in the groups"
WOW What a small word. Did not know he knew Tim, the artist. I know Michael. He is a great guy and has helped me multiple times on the Crossfire. I always appreciate his dry sense of humor and expertise. I just don't have facebook so I hope someone posts the pictures to the groups for those who aren't on the Forum.
2005 Limited Roadster ... took the dash apart to do the Sticky Key fix even though I had not been having problems yet ... only to find out it had already been done by a previous owner that never marked it down anyplace ... it is now recorded inside the driver side fuse door ... at least I gained more knowledge and experience with my Crossfire

I've always been an advocate of making sure any mods/hacks have been documented and follows the car to the new owner. One that comes to mind, was the seatbelt annunciator when vehicle was over 9mph and not buckled. Some were cutting wires, and all they had to do was program the seatbelt warning to not go off when your unbuckled to move in a yard. Moving the car to hose and back to garage damn thing was a pest (again, it is easy to disable the chime with the internal software) and some were just cutting wires (I believe under the seat)... Please members, document your mods/hacks and give to new owner.

where do I learn these mods? Is there a list somewhere?

Software mods are in the owners manual (various switches/at various times), mods are almost all in the document collection. Search the site for document collection (or another member has the link more readily available and may jump in). Have fun, but for the next owner, please document all you do to make your car stand out.
Last week I replaced the old brake lines with stainless steel ones and bleed the lines. Changed the Trans fluid and filter. Finished putting in the last LasFit LEDs. Took the car to the paint shop and had the old peeling drip rails replaced with new ones, had the outside mirrors color matched to the door handles. I put in new door cards that have a red insert. And I did the Jim Laird upgrade for the door handle pulls.
Replaced 4yr old traditional lead acid battery with AGM type off ebay for $129 and free shipping.
The absorbed glass mat holds closer to 13 volts vs 12.4 in a lead acid, and gives the Xfire a really nice startup.
Replaced the Radiator.
And since I was in there, new hoses!!
Excellent built car as its only a few minutes to remove fan and rad. Longest parts time wise were draining fluid and cleaning everything, like engine tray, and around rad/fan.
After a good cleaning of area swap took about an hour. Thank you MB engineers.
The new rad came with plugs in all the orfices.
These line plugs came in handy for plugging the trans lines after cracking them open. I bought a transmission dipstick and checked the level BEFORE, it was a bit high at warm.
Using plugs to quickly cap off lines there was only a small puddle lost. After reconnecting hoses and filling radiator with special european flavored fluid I started engine and checked for leaks, bravo no drips.
Just let it idle, rechecked fluids, alll seemed good.
Drove it around and even ac felt cooler (probably more air flowing through now) and temps on gauge read lower than before.
Will check again after a few miles but seems perfect.
Reason for rad swap was the overflow line plastic nipple cracked, then broke off the rad.
Ready for summer heat now!!
See my gratuitous Xfire engine shots

Might add some water wetter. Great idea!
For 8 to 10 bucks its a no brainer to get 10° - 15° degrees cooler summer water temps.
Thanks!
Does anyone know what the stock gauge markings equate to for F° temps?
Mine was always steady at the midway mark.
Now it is reading closer to next lower mark.
and...what is the max and minimum these gauges show?
Anyone seen these numbers in a manual etc?
Cheers, CaughtinaXfire

if you have an odbii reader, you can read what the computer thinks the temperature is in engineering units.
