Replaced condenser, as the connection out from it had tiny crack. Refrigerant all leaked out. I put in some refrigerant with dye and saw it leak out, and heard it too lol so really didnt need dye.
Replaced it and got an ac oring kit and recharged and its icy cold.
Its over 90 degrees and was freezin me out.
I didnt vac system or change receiver dryer nor expansion valve that I got in an AC tune up kit, saving them for next time...and no issues. I may add a little oil if/when it ever needs charge topped off.
Then had a weird vibration from from front end.
Kept thinking maybe it's a tire or rim.Weight fell off, or something's making a vibration. What the heck's going on.I had the tires balanced everything was good. i checked all the suspension components.Tie rod ends and uppers, sway bar bushings , looking at everything and everything was fine , but then I was like I bet its a shock absorber... What else could it be.
So I swapped the passenger side shock absorber , I had put KYB's on maybe five years ago, but I swapped in an Aisin Sabach. Test drove and jiggle vibration is gone,.The KYB was still tough to collapse but think it failed internally and wasnt working at dampening.
Xfire is ready for Summer now!
Cheers

As always, a great looking picture of your Crossfire Roadster.

Roberta & I made travel arrangements for the Crossfires in Athens, Ohio event.

She got a bath and shine today, and later this week, she’ll get some fresh oil.

Followed the YouTube video that outlines how to replace the Chrysler emblem n the hood. Had done it for the trunk already, but wanted to replace the one I had done a while ago on the hood as well with the original OEM (found for little money on EBay).

1) Used blue painters tape to cover most of the wing with the emblem. This will prevent the wing from breaking when you drill.
2) Cut out the area of the emblem with an exacto knife or an any sharp knife.
3) Carefully drill right into the “RY” of the Chrysler with a it enough drill bit, you can fit a screw driver behind it to peel the rest of the emblem off.
4) The old emblem is now in two halves and you just peel it off and clean what is underneath it with rubbing alcohol/GooGone and soap/water to remove the old glue.
5) I cleaned the back of the new emblem and attached double sided 3M tape. I find if you use silicone or emblem glue, it can shine through on the other side so double sided tape is the best way to go. Just put it on and cut around the edges so it fills the area perfectly.’
6) Clean the area you will attach it to one more time to make sure it’s nice and clean, then adhere the emblem and hold it there for 60 seconds.

Looks like brand new. Love it. Note: Trunk and Hood emblems are different sizes. So when you purchase, whichever one you are looking for make sure you get the right size. The hood emblem is the same on most Chrysler vehicles from that era (300, Town&Country)

The OEM emblems were not silver, they were gold only as far as I know. They are like the one I put on. When I got my first Crossfire I thought the OEM emblems were silver, but that is because they ALL faded very quickly and therefore look silver. Here is a picture from the catalogue:

And here are some pictures from the Karmann Plant where our cars were manufactured with some wonderful Germans putting together our cars Scroll down for more pics: Crossfire Plant

What you could do though, Beststickers.net has A TON of different Crossfire overlays. They can make them on brushed aluminum, silver, white etc. And if you don’t want the Chrysler logo, they have unique combinations with outlines of our cars or it just says Karmann or just Crossfire. Cool emblems that fit on top of the faded Chrysler ones and I like a lot of them owners have attached.

Great!! That's awesome News that I don't have to replace my emblem with some gaudy gold thing and that it is faded away I guess in the two and a half years, three years before I got it.Because it's always been silver since i've owned it.And that's awesome, that it is silver, because everything else on the car is chrome or silver. The wheels are painted silver. The grille has the chrome update kit.The strakes have the chrome update kit.Everything is chrome/silver on black.I wouldn't want gold. Thanks for the info though. And good luck keeping yours gold.

So Roberta & I were in Bryson City, NC this past weekend for a gathering of VW Beetles that happens every spring. When we arrived in town on THU (04/30), we came across an SSB Crossfire Coupe. Then on FRI (05/01) we stopped at a Shell station to fill-up our Dune Beetle and a Graphite Metallic Crossfire Roadster pulled in, with 2 young ladies in the car that stopped to get some 'smokes'. Both cars looked fairly nice & well kept.

How 'bout that!

Probably some of the Crossfires that were there with a Mini Cooper / Crossfire friend from Baton Rouge
It was Mini Cooper weekend in Fontana Dam with about 400 Mini Coopers

I went to a local car show today in Boonton, New Jersey. There were over 170 cars on Main Street.
What a surprise it was when we came home with a 1st prize trophy for Modern Muscle 2000 - 2009.

And that's why man is great. If everyone had the same taste, the world would be a boring place.
As long as you like it and like I mentioned before, when I bought my first Coupe, I thought the emblem was that way by default. It's one of the few emblems that look great faded and like the car came that way on purpose since you and I both fell for it
Sometimes I'm debating if I want the SRT-6 overlay set. The black ans red would go nice with the Graphite I think.

Installed a couple new Stabilus lifts ( 4B-334385 ) for the rear hatch on my Limited. They replaced the originals and seem to work very good.
