Default True story

I woke up at 4am to go to the Car 'Cruise In' in San Antonio. My tire pressure warning light had been on for 3 days. Couldn't get it to turn off! I jumped in the Crossfire and hit the road. Tire Pressure light still on, but the BAS/ESP warning light came on too! Reset it. Came back on. Reset it 2 more times, and it still came back on! And, my cruise control was out! And I realized I was an hour early! So I went and ate breakfast, and then went to the 'Cruise In'. Xalidin jiggled the fuse for the cruise control. And I reset the BAS/ESP warning light for the 4th time! As I was leaving, I found that the cruise control was fixed. Thanks, John! And the tire pressure warning light was out. And the BAS/ESP light was out! And it stayed off...so far.

The moral of the story: Go to car GTG's and heal your Crossfire! I think it has something to do with testosterone. But, it definitely works!

We've been missing you, Jesse. The orthotics are working great, and you, sir, are a saint!

Turnouts have been good, lately! 2nd Saturdays at Lowe's at the Rim (8 - 10)

Did the car feel like it lost power steering when the esp/ABS light came on?

No, it did not seem to lose power steering. But, today (4 days later) both the BAS/ESP and low tire pressure warning lights came back on! I might actually have to address the issues, instead of only going to GTG's!

re: BAS/ESP - My brakes are OK, so it probably has to do with stability control. My mechanic looked at it when the warning light was off and said the computer had no record of the warning at all.

re: Low tire pressure warning light - Tire pressure is perfect. I got new wheels, but they took the TPMS off my old wheels. But, that does seem to be when the problem started. I run about 33 front and 34 rear - about 1 psi above recommended.

I STILL recommend going to GTG's although I can no longer state that your car will be 'healed' by such actions.

Your ESP module controls the ABS, but it's odd you didn't get an error code. When that light comes on remember that ESP is automatically shut off and ABS is no longer working. I don't remember if your ESP module controls your steering, but I don't think it does.

I reset it each time, but I am getting tired of resetting it! I will have to get serious about this!

Sandy, you put your old TPMS on with your new wheels, did you put new batteries on the sensors? When I put new wheels on, I also put new sensors on, once I had the correct sensors programmed by the Chrysler Dealership, I've had no problems.

ABS/ESP errors report through the DRBIII interface (DAS).. I'm guessing your mechanic just hooked up a regular "check engine" DRBII code checker. Mine have been lit up and "non functioning" for a year now with no brake issues.. And burnouts don't require a "disable" button first.. LOL.

I would also go ahead and maybe look at replacing the fuse. They are pretty cheap, you just might need a pair of needlenose pliers to get it out. Just make sure you put a new one in with the same rating.. Couldn't hurt and for under a buck.. worth a shot..

sounds like corrosion at the fuse box or a weak fuse connection. I usually from time to time pull and clean them making sure they all are snug fitting when I put them back in
