Under hood insulation pad ?
My brother and I took our roadsters to a local show yesterday evening and while we were there he noticed neither of our cars had under hood pads. So now of course I am wondering if the base xf's came with a pad or is mine missing in action?

** Update: Dang it. I didn't look at his storefront but he's not taking orders right now because of medical reasons.

I removed mine about six weeks ago as it was starting to droop on the engine bay. I'm happy to have it gone to be honest. I seem to remember that some Crossfires did not have the area under the hood pad fully painted. Mine does.
Hey Guys,
Looking to replace my hood insulation pad since it's creating a smudge on my engine cover. If anyone can point me to a place that has a great price on this item would be very helpful.
I'm in Los Angeles California btw. Looking forward to becoming more active in this forum as i absolutely enjoy my 2008 Chrysler Crossfire.
Thanks

rontive08, don't want to rain on the parade and hopefully someone may still have some information on the underhood pad availability, etc, but you do realize you are posting to a 6 yr old thread i hope.
i think it makes a big difference in noise dampening. mine is absolutely silent. and also think that is the purpose of it, so depends on what you want. some want a sports car noisy. i dont, so am happy with it.
And here is the new web site for the custom aircraft material hood pads $95 for the Crossfire plus $30 for a decal: new hood pads
