I bought the Chrysler Front End Cover from Wyckoff Chrysler for $118. From a protection standpoint I think it does a better job than just a hood cover. Not only does it cover the front but it also deflects any debris that may come towards the hood as well as covering the front of the hood.
I'd pass on the Pep Boys cover and go with the Chrysler product.

Well, I would not put this on my Crossfire. I just thought it was cool looking. Also the cover you bought is just a Bra. This covers the whole hood. I might buy it, just to see how it looks and then return it.

To each his own. I'm not big on flames. I think you also need something to cover the front of the car, that's the whole purpose. Only time I will use the bra (I hate that term) is when I'm on the highway. Most chips are on the front of the hood and front of the car, I just see covering the whole hood as not necessary.

WildChild,

Nice find. If it came in black to match my Chrysler bra I could be tempted for when we go on road trips; I can't do the flames, but maybe the carbon fiber I would have to see it in person first. I have had to repair a small rock chip on the hood on the passenger side about 2" down from the windshield that this cover would have prevented.

patpur,

I strongly recommend that you install the 3M clear bra on the car instead of solely relying on the Chrysler bra. I have the 3M clear bra installed and I also use the Chrysler bra for road trips to absorb hits from large rocks. However, I have found debris under the bra after a drive that would have scratched my car if I had not had the 3M clear bra to protect the car. One trip across lower California we got into a wind storm and there was pieces of tumbleweed, hay, and other plant materials ground up underneath the bra.
