With a lot of patience and care you can unbolt the hood latch through the grille I think.
There is a thread somewhere here.
Try this CLICK, you must use a ratchet wrench if you can get one, 10mm size, or it may take forever. The wrench goes through the top slot of course and you will need patience to get it on the head of the bolt the plastic shield will help you locate the head.

Perfect time for that aftermarket SS grille on RED DOG's thread !
Just grab your plastic one and jerk it out, then you can get at the release lever on the back of the latch.

Since I've seen OEM's for sale at the $200 mark.. Think I'd take a little time with a wrench myself..

I for one have not seen a grille I like better than the OEM one.
These new mesh grilles look like they are made from the deep fryer French Fry baskets.
You cannot say you do not like them in the Group Buy thread so I'll say it here.

OMG! We finally totally agree! LOL. The only thing I've seen close to worth buying to replace mine is the billet style.. and that's since I went to the billet wheels and lower grills.. and even then there is the one that sits back .. which is a no go.. and I have yet to see the one that protrudes to a "flush" fit on ebay.
