Default Transmission fluid leak

Hi All,

Was driving 80 on Freeway when I see smoke behind me. I thought for a second that the heavy dusty road was in fault but understood it may come from my car.
Pulled over in a safe spot and say transmission fluid leaking on the exhaust.

Any idea?
This happened yesterday

The leak was not huge but def here

Please help

I went to the dealer and they want $220!
Funny part. They tell you $220 with no shame.
So you have the part #?
Thank you
Max

So I assume only one is needed!
Now labor time...

SO, I got the Chrysler part and also as Woody recommends the other one that you can only get at Mercedes service part.

Will install asap...

Thanks for the support!

The sticky with all the parts number is great!

Most of the time the part are cheaper at MB!!!! How crazy is it.

The River Oaks Chrysler on Kirby Drive in Houston, quote me $190 + taxes
The funny part is ,,,, for a few seconds he was watching the ceiling and drop the $190...
Without watching his computer. The part was $15 at their part service, he said it was $35 etc.....
Horrible!

So as said earlier, I bought both part, the one that leak and the one that may leak
I am having hard time to understand how they fit together but I guess I will.

When to get an estimate for labor, I provide the parts...
Hilarious, They quote $250.
Chrysler was $190 with parts
It gets more and more insulting day after day.

And after that they complain they have a bad reputation!

Hi,

Bought the parts and took it to the mechanic.

Mechanic could not remove and change the part(s).

What do you think?

Max

It is obviously time to change your mechanic, that is easy and you can do it yourself.

Do you know why they can't change it? If the bolt that holds the connector plug to the valve body plate won't come out (just spins) than you will have to replace the valve body plate also.

This issued happended with my connector. Took it to 2 places and it just spun and couldn't be extracted without dropping the pan and breaking it off the internals / valve body plate. Luckily, mine was still under warranty -- otherswise it was a $2500 dollar job. HOWEVER, you can find the connector plate, connector, valvebody unit on line a lot cheaper and then have someone install it. Also, the connector plate and Valvebody are actually 2 separate pieces, not ONE. They don't have to break both so don't let them tell you it's one piece. Good luck.
