Some people have the nerve
I went to my local Home depot today with my daughter. Apparently I didn't get the Crossfire locked, thought I did. Someone went through it real fast, the drivers seat was all the way forward and folded forward and the console was opened.. I don't think they got anything there wasn't any small items to steal. My fire gear was in the back but I do not think they even opened that. Glad I didn't catch them.
I hate thieves. I was at a Mini Meet with my 67. When I came back to my car, after looking around, there was this guy leaning through the sun roof, unscrewing my shift ****. WTF?
Yeah that would have been a assault charge for me. I had some putz punch my new Mini on my way out of a parking lot at a Broncos game for no reason other than he was a drunk deusche. He left a golf ball ding on the car . Any how I parked the car grabbed the tire iron followed him two blocks and while he was getting in his car I teed off on everyone of his windows. The look of shock on his face was priceless and he was scared so shitless he did not even get out of the car to confront me. No body did **** and no cops involved. Got lucky for that but I felt my $150 dent repair I got my moneys worth. Short Fuse right here.
Ask The Home Depot to check their surveillance tapes. Maybe looking to see if you had a weapon stashed under the seat?? You might still be able to catch the A HOLE!
That's crazy but yeh I was going to suggest the same. Maybe Home Depot can assist with their cams!
Can't believe how bold some people are to just jump in someones unlocked vehicle and start searching. That's pretty damn crazy!
Seems to happen a lot, too judging from stories I heard from friends and family. Only happened to me once - went to St. Pete Beach with my family and we were in a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country (nothing special) with doors locked. Obviously we must have placed our key in the beach bag and decided to walk around the corner to get a drink from a local beach bar while leaving our chairs, towels and beach bag out on the beach with quite a few people around us.
As we came back I realized the key was gone and checked the car - Key was still stuck in the lock and obviously someone had went through the items in the car as glove box was open and other stuff tossed around. There were no items of interest in there and no money so he didn't really get anywhere and we were happy the guy didn't steal the car
Of course as usual nobody saw anything!
A**holes!

I leave my car parked with the top down quite a bit but it's always locked because of the console and trunk. Nothing ever done to the car but then, there's nothing left out and the glove compartment is locked anyhow. Sorry about your aggravation.
I once had someone break in my old wagon, steal the laundry detergent I had neglected to bring in, a crank style flash light and take the time to sort through my tapes before discarding most.
I always felt a little insulted by that criticism of my taste in music.

Agree, I also often leave the 'vert with the top down but vehicle is alarmed. glove is locked, and I put things like the garage remote and radio face in the trunk so nothing removable is visible.

I've seen a guy after I parked my car once randomly try to get close and look inside. I watched him from a bit of distance for a bit, he looked inside the windows, and then I set off the alarm. When he noticed me, he started walking nervously away. I reached for the side of my pants where my knife hangs and unfolded the knife. The guy took off running hahahaha
I like this about the music.
It probably wouldn't have been fun for anyone if I would have caught whoever it was.
