Default tire pressure monitor

Unavoidably ran over a small dog. Even though I've checked my tire pressure (and it is fine) the warning light stays on, now. My right front tire impacted the dog and I was wondering if the damage to my TPMS may be permanent? If I replace the tire sensors, is there a certain brand to get: Chrysler? Is it possible to smack the sensor upside the head and get it to work again?

Did you try re-inflating the dog to 35 lbs? The valve is towards the rear of the dog.

I did not try that. The owner was somewhat hysterical, so I made myself scarce. And that was the deadest dog I ever did see!

After 3 days and about 80 miles of driving, the tire pressure warning light went out. I believe it stopped working for several days out of sympathy for the dog. Red Crossfires are known to be more empathetic than the other colors (it's a fact), so it simply went into mourning for the dog. I completely understand.

Bought a new set off Amazon for wife's new wheels shipping on the 18th.. hopefully will have good news to report on these puppies.. Bought an activation magnet and have Star Das to program them myself.. hopefully.. LOL. It's only 35 bucks at a dealer here so I won't play around too long if it's an ordeal to wrap the brain around..
