Default Repercussions of driving a crossfire

I got pulled over for going 83 in a 45 speed zone. I now am going to court, I want y'all to tell me what the worst incident with the police u had when driving ur xfires and what you had to do after the incident. I'm 18 and a bit flustered cause it's the first incidence where I fucked up.

Want in one hand and **** in the other and see which one fills up first. Do the crime do the time. Seriously though I don't have any worst incidents and I've had it for 7 years. What does the title Reprocess ions of driving a crossfire mean anyway? You mean repercussions? If that's it there are not many if you remember that the right pedal is not an off and on switch but more of a modulator.

Maybe you'll get lucky and get a token fine for a first offense ( it is, right ?) and yet another class added to your schedule.

It really depends on what state/country you live in. In some states they will just massively fine you. In some states they would have hauled you off to jail right then and there, some even require that you pay the fine right when they pull you over. So in reality, your best bet is to either look up your local laws or even ping a lawyer. For a speeding violation that large a lawyer would probably be well worth the money.

Deferred adjudication......that means you get off if you do not get in trouble for 60 or 90 days i believe. Hopefully the judge will offer it to you. If not....when you walk into the cell, hit the biggest guy in there right in the grill.

Ask any of your neighbors if they can "fix a ticket". It worked for me!

You can edit your original posts on here.

PS: We all been there at one point or another. Now you know how it makes you feel and if you don't like that feeling use it as motivation for correction the next time you are tempted.

the way i see it you have 2 options one you can contact the lawyer and see what its gonna cost to have it reduced number 2 you can take care of yourself when you go to court,if you decide to go to court wear a shirt and tie be respectful and talk to the prosecuting attorney before your case is calledand explain that you are guiltyand that you would grateley appreciate if something could be done to reduce the chargei think you will be surprised at the outcome, this is what i told my son on his first dui and it worked very well for him, and BTW, he has never been back in court ,he learned his lesson and so should you.

It sucks being young in a cool car.

That said, and to drive the blade in a little further. My experience has been the opposite.

I have been pulled over for doing a burnout, Going sideways in 2nd gear. And get this... LET ME GO. He said, I know it's hard to do in a fast car, but just take it easy.

The 2nd incidence was while passing a car on a rural highway. Just as I got around the car I saw a sheriff sitting on the side of the road. He clocked me doing 109 in a 55. He gave me a ticked for 10 Mph over, and LET ME GO!!!

So just drive a Prius for another twenty years or so. Then jump in the Crossie, and GIVE HER HELL!!!

sorry for the spelling, speech to text thing, sometimes smart phones are not so smart. i am a truck driver as well as owning a 05 crossfire roadster
limited so i understand the temptation to air it out once in a while.but remember this the court fine is only half the equation, you also have to deal with your insurance premium going out when you renew your insurance.sorry to hit you with more bad news but that's reality.

Times have changed. When I was 18 I had a 1971 Firebird Formula 400 with a four speed manual. I was pulled over 3 times in one week for burning the tires, and each time the officer let me off with a warning. As life circumstances changed, and I had support to myself, I had to sell the car and get a work van.

I now hear of more stories of kids getting tickets for minor infractions. Going to court you could possibly get points reduced or eliminated, but would still pay the fines and court fees.

There was only one time I almost got a ticket in the Crossfire. I bought the car and had it less than 15 minutes. From the dealer I got on the PA turnpike and punched it to see what it would do. I was about to go under an overhead bridge and on the right side I could see the front of a state police car. I hit the brakes and saw the officer was raising a radar gun to the window, but I had cut the speed enough on time. That was a very close call. I thought to myself that would have been a record time in getting a car and then a ticket.

Or as an alternative:

In the past 3 years I've been pulled over 8 times and have only gotten one speeding ticket. I have my crossfire plastidipped matte black to protect it from the salty air while I was stationed in Guam. The one time I got a ticket I was doing 60 on the main road and the island speed limit is 35. I went to the court house the next day and paid the $175 fine. 83 in a 45 might be hard to let go. Everyone here is giving good advice, go to court, be respectful and they might lower the fine.

Go to court and take your medicine. If this was a first offense - you have a fine and a safety class to attend. Just learn from the mistake. Our cars "gets looked at" more so by the cops

When I was 18 I always pushed it, back then V-8's were the norm and I got caught doing the same thing. I was going 70 in a 45. The state trooper (WV) asked me why, told him I was trying to get to the store before they closed. He said go on to the store he would be waiting for me outside. When I came out he wrote me a warning and told me to slow down. Police are not always nasty and some like him were nice. Sorry you didn't run in to one with a little understanding, could have written you ten over.

Go to court...take the Driving Class and in most cases the points will be dropped and not reported to the Ins. Co....Got a 250.00 ticked recently for 79 in a 45...went to court, took the Safe Driving class, points dropped completely and paid a fine of 107.00...Carl
