Default 2005's

Is it just my imagination or are there more 2005's around than any other model? Does anybody know the sales numbers on each specific year?

I believe approximately the same number were built in 04 and 05. I'm sure if you search you can find the exact number.

CICCI member htimothyh, who works for Chrysler, has provided production numbers for all models of the Crossfire.
Tim has received permission from Chrysler to release these numbers to the public.

I wonder how many of the 2005 Limited roadsters are still on the road.

You would be correct as the roadster and SRTs came out, less coupes where made but the total was 3,000 or so more in 2005.

Thanks to all for the great info supplied. Being a newbie I will most likely have some questions that may be considered silly to some but despite that I will ask them just the same. It looks to me like all of the model years have the exact same exterior appearance. Is there any way to tell them apart from the outside? Any little changes that may be noticeable to the skilled Crossfire owner? I do not have enough experience yet to tell them apart.

No. All the minor changes are on the inside, out of sight (unless you're in the interior.)

Best bet is to open the driver's door and read the manufacture panel.
( Even THAT can be confusing, many '2005' models were manufactured in late 2004. )

Thanks for that info. I believe similar info under Chrysler Crossfire/Wikipedia. To Anyone it may Concern, NHTSA must reply to our "petition" to investigate the 2011 Warranty for '05 Roadster roof tops/window. If denied, NHTSA has to publish reason in "Federal Register". Common assumption : problem is climate related. However, Chrysler fixed the "9 State" cars wherever they went after sale which implies a different part used on those "9 State" cars which we can all claim to be Bulls**t. Voice your opinion to safercar.gov

I think 2004 have the CROSSFIRE name lower on the hatch, it was higher from 2005 to allow room for the 2005/6 SRT6 logo I'm not sure if it went back down later though
From the outside you could see if the rear view mirror has or has not the day/night lever, although some later cars have had the 2004 mirror fitted.
Obviously the LTD versions differ from the basic versions, wheels, black trim etc.

The radio display in a 2004 is also different, but then you'd have to get inside to see that.

It's only different in the early 2004's. The later versions went from the LED's to the LCD's. At night time the LED's looked good. During the day, in the sun, you could hardly read them. I pulled my LED and bought a LCD and slide it in. Much better during the day.

You're absolutely right Dave. Since I de-badged my 04 over 7 years ago I forgot about the logo placement.
I didn't bother to add that only yellow, champagne, silver, and blue steal came on the newer cars as well.
I'm sure somebody will chime in with the correct "Color chart" names, and years.
