Default No Passenger Air Bag Switch on RHD

I frequently take my grandchildren, one of whom is still in a booster seat, for a cruise in The Toy.
I have become accustomed to turning off the passenger side airbag when they're in the car.
I noticed in this photo posted by Oconnom from London that his RHD car does not have the airbag
switch on the end of the instrument panel at the passenger door, neither does it have the air bag off
indicator on the console forward of the gear selector.

I suppose that if we lived in the UK the kids wouldn't be able to take a spin with Gramps.

I doubt that s true of all UK cars. It looks like that one has no airbags at all - sticker seems to indicaate none. Is there a SRS warning light on the dash ? A SRS logo near the rear of the door cards ?

Personally think a good set of seatbelts is better than an airbag particularly for a secondary crash so always use mine.

I have only one good eyeball. If an airbag goes off wrong in front of me, it is my deep fear that I will be blinded by the impact/debris. Have always worn seatbelts (since early teens in mid 60's), an uncle used to race and always insisted everyone buckle up. Seatbelts in my opinion are the most necessary. I do not trust 'airbags', especially with all the airbag troubles out there right now (and I know there are no Takata airbags in our XF's).

I haven't look at mine lately, but I think the label is showing that you should not put a car seat facing backwards in the front seat due to the airbag.

My RHD (Australian delivery) SRT6 does not have the switch, but we have our own Oz design rules for vehicles which may mandate permanent air bags.
