Default 2004 Crossfire BAS ESP light on

Hi guys,

I bought a 2004 Crossfire yesterday so this is my first post

Straight of the bat BAS/ESP light is on together with occasional flash of ABS light. The lights are sometimes flashing sometime on permanently. The previous owner also said that sometimes it goes days without any lights at all.

Also, the spoiler lifts up and red light on the control button is flashing.

What makes all of it very strange is that if I start the car the BAS ESP light will come on but the spoiler will only raise if I swith on the headlights. If I start the car and switch the lights on after 5 minutes the spoiler will function properly.

I had the car plugged onto the diagnostic and codeds shown are:

C1010 - Terminal 87, undervoltage - Intermittent

514030 - Unknown fault code

C1141 - ESP pressure sensor 1; zero point variation - Intermittent

C1202 - BAS release switch; plausibility - Intermittent

I was hoping someone could help me with some suggestions and next actions if possible.

Thanks in advance guys,

Alem

New battery or alternator. All the above points to marginal voltage available.

Get the battery and alternator checked before spending money on them.
Check the battery connections and grounds as well.
This car does not like a low battery power situation, being intermittent it could be a loose clamp on the battery, so check them for corrosion and tightness.
It is a good thing to state the mileage, and other info about your vpcar a sit gives a hint to condition.
