Default Broke 300K miles today

I love my car and my 2004 will be 15 years old on July 3, 2018. I have two Crossfires and the car that broke 300K is my winter car. My convertible only has 120K so one day when the coup reaches its limit the convertible is my go to car.

That's great. What all have you had fixed/replaced over the years on the winter car? Mine is about to turn 70K.

Like any car things can happen at anytime, but mostly its been keeping up with normal car maintenance. I have tuned the car twice, once at 125K and recently at 280K; when the car felt sluggest or sometimes idled rough

I have had two fans replaced (circulate air within car cab), water pump, alternator and left blinker short. I've cleaned up some rust under the door and hood as well.

The annoying items have been the pot hole hits so I have had 3 bent rims and of course it ripped the tire in each case.

The car has only been in one somewhat serious car accident where I was hit from behind but that was fixed.

I hope that helped.

that's wonderful news.
somebody said that the devil is in the details.
so, if this is not too much to ask...could you tell us as much as you want about how you do anything. like: how often you change oil in the engine, transmission, differential; what oil exactly you use; when you replace filters (fuel, engine air intakes); fuel pump; how often you rustproof it; how you do in detail; anything, as preventive maintenance.
am sure we all have a lot to learn from the way you take care of it.
thank you for telling us.

I’m so proud to be an owner of this car, a handsome American with a thick German accent. Engineering greatness. This car with initial investment and probable maintenance down the road, has got to be in the top 10 of Consumer decisions.

I've found that..... IF you PM your RCM, replace your CPS, remedy the sticky key (All 3 for less than 2 hours of non rocket science labor and $100)
AND ........Open your hood twice a month and check 7 components (fill this in yourself)

Do this and you’ll discover the old adage that 90% of happiness can be had for just showing up.
of course, due respects to the quirky 10% that have caused men to go mad.
