Default crossfire - mercedes upper intake

I want to buy and refinish the upper intake manifold and valve covers over the winter for my 07 na roadster. Does anyone know which Mercedes models and years will work ? They seem to be a lot cheaper than the Crossfire's
thanks for any help.

I am quite sure they are exactly the same parts for the same engine.
Use the Mercedes part numbers to buy them, as you say they are cheaper.

Part numbers given below are for the assemblies, for instance the valve cover consists of two main separate parts, the main valve cover, the smaller cover and the screws that hold the two parts together.
The parts for each assembly have their own Mercedes part number.

The SLK320 parts are a direct match. It's a Mercedes M112 engine, so it's likely parts from any other car with that engine would fit. The risk is Mercedes may slightly modify those parts for the other cars to add some part.

I assume you are tackling the aluminum corrosion. I did it on the SE without removing them. What I did was use scuff pads with silicone grease. The grease helps loosen the corrosion and also limits scratches. Leaving a light coat of silicone grease will actually inhibit new corrosion. I manually rubbed the surface with the scuff pad and a dab of grease, and also used small Roloc scuff disks with a power tool.

For my 04 coupe I purchased a used SLK320 valve cover set and was planning on painting them with black wrinkle paint. I got that idea from some others on the forum.
