Default installing a rear looking camera

the moment i drove a crossfire and tried to back up i was for a surprise: i couldnt see where i was! coming from a car with a wide angular mirror, to this, where the blind spot is HUGE, it took me some time to get what it takes to feel safe. it has been a long exploration of the vast horizon of available rear looking mirrors. but, eventually, i made it, and now life is good again.
but let me get back to it.

my 1st attempt:
at the time, i got this: https://www.banggood.com/7-Inch-TFT-...r_warehouse=CN
but i want it to be permanent rear mirror, not reverse, and the instructions for installing covers only reverse.
does any1 know the details or diagram where this can be done?
i know there are zillions of forums but it is all chinese for me.
and if this is not the right or best place please tell me where and i will move it there.
thanks

You should be able to just wire it to any power source that is hot when the car is on, instead of powering it through the reverse light circuit

The glove box light / cigarette lighter circuit comes to mind.

Download a copy of the service manual. It’s all there step by step

and stop by your local auto shop for. Set of interior trim removal tools.

its called 'constant use', meaning that is used as rear view mirror. all the time. not only when in reverse.
and eventually got how it all connects.
thank you anyway for your effort to help.

My backup camera aspirations come from ONLY OCCASIONALLY running into a situation where I need the extra assistance of one. Thus it's not high on my project list and I've selected a wireless camera where I'm not bothered with running a cable from back to front. Not needing to use it much means I can hide it from view almost all the time so my plan is to both keep the 4.3" screen inside the glove-box and wire it to the light inside. With a cable a few feet long which I'll normally keep tied/bound together it will be long enough to sit atop the dash for the brief seconds it will be in use. This is the camera for which I'll eventually fork money over to Amazon:
Amazon Amazon

So I put one in recently, not full time view just for reverse. I wired it into the back up light so it comes on when in reverse. Problem is that Im getting a light out indicator on the dash yet I have no lights out so there is something about it that the car doesn't like, I'll just deal with it I guess unless anybody knows a better way.

for all that i see it, in principle is very simple: camera has a 'y' that 1 goes to the screen and the other to a 12v power source.
this could be the switch that closes the circuit. that is, when the engine starts there is visual.
or somewhere else. but where? and how?
i need details on exactly where and how. and the loose wires too. where they go?
i hope some1 could answer this.
thanks
this is the camera i have: https://www.banggood.com/7-Inch-TFT-...r_warehouse=CN

am surprised that there are no posts/threads regarding constant use rear looking mirrors, if this car has such large blind spots.
not only back off but rear view all the time!
thats why my quest.
problem is, i cant find any diagram or good pictures showing where all the wiring goes.
neither details of the instal. where exactly connect everything.

now, lets try to find an objective solution to my problem.
i got a camera/screen with the purpose of having a constant rear view large enough to compensate for the inherent large blind spots.
that is ON every time i start the engine, but OFF when i stop it. thats all.
and that i need to know where all the wires/connectors have to be attached. how to have access to them.
a diagram to be sure to do that.
i believe that there are guys here with the knowledge to help.
it is a matter of basic knowledge of electrics and the car.
and am sure many will benefit from this.
the thing that i got is this: https://www.banggood.com/7-Inch-TFT-...r_warehouse=CN
