Default Talk me in to or out of srt purchase

Hey everyone have not been on for a long time lost my limited in a flood. Just found a 2005 SRT with 70,000 miles with Needswings DCAI / Eurocharged 65mm S/C Pully Needswings/ Waldig Pulley Saver Kit / Eurocharged ECU Tune / Eurocharged TCU Tune / Resonator Delete for $8,500. I am going to use as daily driver with about 8 mile round trip to work. I was looking at it as an investment . Thinking in 10 or 15 years the price for these cars will start going backup.

Any thought would be great

Thank Sive

As an owner of both a limited (roadster with a stick) and an SRT let me define the conundrum. The limited is fun to drive, gets attention but doesn't really get up and go like it's styling suggests it should. The limited is less technically complicated than the SRT and as a daily driver it gets slightly better on gas mileage and tires. One would think that a better choice. But you will always pine for the SRT. Unless you race it, the SRT is just about as reliable as the limited. So as a practical matter it makes a great daily driver and you won't be teased or intimidated by rednecks in their Mustangs.

I do enjoy driving my 6spd more than the SRT until that Boss Mustang aligns with my window at a stoplight. But then I know what I have in the garage, he doesn't, and it's okay.

Get the SRT. Or regret missing the opportunity.

Trust me. The first time you "get on it" you will understand.

I second Frank's comments. I have had both and the SRT is definately more fun.

I "third" Franc's comments. The SRT6 is way more car / way more fun / AND a better investment. JUST DO IT!

Thanks for all the posts

I was not looking for which type to buy , just if I should buy the SRT as an investment really that just an excuse I am using to buy it LOL. Just wanted to know if using it as a daily driver and put like 2500 mile a year was a bad idea

Thanks again

I have bought and sold a couple of SRT crossfires. Between the two, pretty much even money if you don't count taxes and insurance costs.
If you are buying a 70K mile car as an investment, save your dough. Only a few rare "virgins" will ever be seen at the MECUM high end classic car auctions.

Buy the SRT to drive. That's why it was built.
