Default Parts car purchase - will it start/drive??

I am considering purchasing 04 coupe---hit on pass door---pass and driver airbags deployed---my question---will the car start and drive with airbags deployed---would help loading for transport and moving around shop???If wont start/drive as is, can this be overcome(clear codes, pull fuses, etc???Thanks for help---Leroy

Seems to me that you can manually move the shift lever to neutral by moving the little flap at the rear of the shift **** base with a screw driver and then pushing the release. Once the shift lever is in neutral you can move the car. Exact instructions I believe are in the owners manual.

If hit that hard the frame may be bent and not fixable.
It could be a parts car if cheap enough.

Perhaps I did not make my question clear---I understand about getting the car into neutral to move it---my question is will air bag deployment electrically disable the car from starting---assuming good battery, fuel etc, I want to get it to run to be able to move move about for loading, drive into shop, etc, Thanks again---Leroy

Your best bet is a flat tow, to the shop ,then eat the elephant one bite at a time.😀

Thanks, but my question still not answered-----is there a "disable" feature in the electronics that will keep the car from starting with/after air bag deployment---if I purchase the car, I would never fix/replace the airbags---but I would like to get it running to be able to move it in shop. ????Thanks

You were very clear, I think the problem is:

1) Some are concerned this car won't be worth the money you are gonna pay for it.
2) Most do not know the answer to your question.

Fortunately, I DO know the answer. I can't speak for ALL cars, but the tow truck driver started mine up and drove it across the street to the back of his flatbed, with both dash airbags deployed:

Thanks Pizzaguy---just the answer I was hoping for---I have an 05 coupe--just bought an 05 conv---runs/drives nice, but needs lots of attention. I have been reading many of your posts concerning top problems---mine does not work either. Been using the manual procedure for now. When I have time to start the trouble shooting process, I will post the symptoms, and my attempts to correct---I will probably need some expert advice.

Thanks again for your will it start answer.
