Default Keyfob not working after having new keys made?

I found a locksmith that was able to make me 2 spare keys. After spending a couple hours disassemble and reassembled to pull a module behind the instrument cluster. He was able to program the new keys to key #1 and key #3. The original switchblade key with remote was programmed as key #2. There was also a key programmed to be key #8 in the memory.

The 2 new keys are no remote, but do work.

We cant get the original switchblade remote to work.

Battery was disconnected for a couple hours.

Standerd relearn procedures are not working.

Locksmith is as puzzled by this as me. He is bowworing a real MB scanner to check it.

We have verifed the remote is sending.

Any ideas?

thx
Neil

Im surprised no one has chimed in on this, as it sounds like you found a way to program new keys for your car?

There are eight possible keys that could be made to fit.
The OEM keys were probably #1 and #2.
Did you take apart the original key?
