Default Heater/AC fan not working

My heater/AC fan has stopped working. I checked all the fuses and it's not that. Any ideas or suggestions?

1. fan resistor board.
2. fan
3. control module ( the thing with the buttons and dials )

My AC sometimes works and other times will not come on for awhile and then come on, work for a while and then quit again, very frustrating.
I have had the control module apart and cleaned the contacts and made it the PC board fit better, I did not epoxy the board as suggested in the thread I read as I thought it was firmly held in place already.
The odd thing is the my problem started after I messed with it, but I had it out when fitting my Double DIN nav unit bezel, maybe I should leave well enough alone. 🙄
