Just seen a post on face book with a photo of the Crossfire Coin Holder on the front of the ashtray. For those that may not know. This included me I'm going to put a US mint coin set in there for the year of my car.

Pretty soon that will double the selling price of the car.

Most of them are broken on people's cars. There like the cup holder, useless.
Never had any trouble with mine, who’s to say that on or mor of the previous owners treated the car rough.
Some can be fixed quite simply, see the How To.

Tell me you know about the "secret button" though. Look under your accelerator pedal.

I'm on my 3rd Roadster and never had one of them fail. The cupholder was DESIGNED to be useless, it's a sarcastic statement by the engineering team, it's meaning is: "These cars are primarily for the American Market, to hell with them, remember May 8, 1945".

I have had no trouble with the cup holders on my two Crossfires, the first one was brand new and I never used it and soon replaced it with the bin. On my second Crossfire it worked but I replaced it within a week with the bin. As far as I know it still works as it has sat on the shelf in a box since 2011.
My ash trays all worked faultlessly until I took the last one out for the first Double DIN mod and replaced it with one that was broken rather than saw a good one in half.
As a matter of absolutely no interest to anyone you can put $18 or $19 in Canadian loonies and toonies in that coin holder for emergency use. It is quite safe from the sticky fingers of lot boys if you take your car in for service.
A loonie is a $1 coin in Canada, you should be able to figure out what a toonie is.
That’s right it is about US$1.56😉

The Coinholder in my Crossfire still functions as does the Cupholder. While I do not trust the Cupholder to securely hold a cup of anything, if one uses the Chrysler Travel Mug that is shown in the Owners Manual, the Cupholder actually works! I've got this specific travel mug & it almost looks like the Cupholder was designed with this travel mug to be used. Nearly a custom fit! After all, Chrysler attempted to warn us to use only containers that fit the cupholder! DUH! And I still don't trust the cupholder!
