I think the same can be said for the Special Edition Crossfire.

The picture came out of the 2007 Owners Manual I have for my car. Starting with the 2005 Model Year, when Base & Special Edition Crossfires were produced, it would be correct to state "if equipped with a Cupholder". Only in 2004 Model Year did every Crossfire come with a cupholder.

How about that - I got one right! Page from the 2004 Owners Manual below.

Edit: Turns out the page above was also in the 2005 version. Page changed during 2006 Model Year to state "if equipped". Probably took Daimler-Chrysler a year to figure out the Owner's Manual needed to be updated to reflect available models.

I love this place! Learn something new almost every visit (about our cars). Like PG said about the many errors in the service manuals, goes to figure the owners manual is included.

The mint coin set is a fun idea that never occurred to me.There appears to be room enough for some German coins as well.

For me, there really aren't any toll roads in Upstate SC where keeping change (e.g., quarters) in the Coin Holder would be practical. (I'm dating myself!) And those days are gone anyway with systems that use something like the EasyPay scanners. So I never use this feature in my Crossfire.

Let me clarify something for those that live in and/or near Upstate SC. There actually is a toll road (I -185) that was built a few years back to provide a short cut for folks to use that wanted to get from the Southern part of Greenville County to I-85 South w/o driving into Greenville, SC. Saves all of 10 minutes driving! So nobody uses it - not even the truckers! Complete waste of taxpayer money!

I didn't think truckers were able to use toll roads. NYC/Long Island USED to be forbidden for trucks to use a toll road. Times, they are a changing!

A good follow-up to my earlier post about learning something new every day!

the fuel gauge comes with 6 marks.
i have seen marks at 3/4, 1/2, 1/4-and reserve, but not 6.
then, as the car is of european design, i figured that, as its capacity is 60 litres, each mark means 10 litres.
that makes sense-at least for those who think metric.

there is a device that tells the tire pressure without having to remove the existing parts-that need to remove the tire to replace them-and calibrate them.
these just bolt into the tire pivot.
and cheaper than the others.
has any1 seen them, and better still, has installed them?

I have been using that since December 2019. Works great. No problems. Even though I keep my Crossfire garaged, the batteries in that device keep a charge for several months. I replaced the “watch” battery in each screw-on sensor after one year but they were still working fine.

I prefer to see the actual tire pressure readings rather than just a warning light coming on. The readings that I get on each tire matches two different digital gauges that I have. I had the original TPMS sensors removed from each tire when I bought new tires last August. A piece of black plastic tape over the TPMS dashboard light works fine. I intended to disable the TPMS light when I was replacing the overhead map lights with red LEDs last week. But just ran out of time.

terrific news. thanks for telling. i had the warning light for a long time but was delaying the replacement as this means removing all the tires and recalibrating the system.
these are a step forward: way easier to replace the others and, as you say, not only tell that a tire is low, but also the figure.
thanks again. i already ordered it and will install as soon as i get them. it is great to have friends that contact us when we have the need to hear their experience.

I would like to see a photo after you put the monitor in the car.

Here is a photo of mine that I took in January 2020. It's still working fine.
It's interesting to see the pressure go up a few psi as the tires warm up. And it is good to catch a slight under-pressure during the winter. The sensors even report the tire temperatures which are displayed in small, non-distracting digits. Plus, this little device is so inexpensive that it could even be replaced every year or two. But wait, there's more! It turns itself off automatically after a few minutes when it senses no motion. And then, it turns itself on automatically when it senses a door opening or closing. And it has a alarm that can be custom set to alarm at a certain low pressure and at a certain high pressure.

Thinking about getting one of these systems (there are quite a few when you conduct an Amazon search) for my 2006 F-150 STX 4x4 which didn't come with a TPMS system. And I've got the perfect location on the dash left of the instrument pod for this particular design below.

Do you think that the weight of the caps may put the wheels out of balance, do the caps weigh much?

Yes, I was concerned about the balance issue, too. But, each sensor weighs only 9.7 grams. (I just weighed one of mine.) That's a little more than a standard valve cap, but I never noticed any change in my tire balance. After a year, I bought new tires and had them balanced with these sensors in place.
