Hey y'all, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the positions are for the keys in the ignition switch, I want to be able to sit in my car without the constant beeping but I also don't want to fry my fuel pump by leaving it in the position right before the run one. If this doesn't make sense let me know and I will try to clarify. Thanks, Angel Martinez -2006 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Coupe, 112,xxx miles.
Full counterclockwise is OFF
next step clockwise is accessory ( fuel pump does not run )
next step clockwise is ON/RUN - fuel pump runs for about 4 seconds, then constantly once engine is running.
next step clockwise is the spring loaded START, you do not need to hold the key there.

Oh dope, thanks, does it beep for you when it's on the ACC? Cause I want to just be able to sit and chill with the radio on ACC but it's beeping at me as if the lights were on or a door was open but they're not
So it beeps in ACC with doors closed and lights off?
It seems to me this came up before, I can't remember what the cause/cure were. Perhaps as I drive around to day it will come to me, but I know this has come up before.

Try pulling the negative battery cable off for a minute or so. It may reset what ever is giving the alarm. If the alarm comes back scan the car for codes with something that gets into the Mercedes part of the car not your generic OBD II.
Alrighty yall, I figured it out! Upon closer inspection, I noticed that my driver's side door was missing the door jam sensor, using an endoscope, I found that it had fallen in and was able to pull it out. Essentially the car thought the door was always open, making it beep whenever the car was in the ACC mode. Holding the button down, the beeping goes away in ACC. Problem fixed, thank you zip439, pizzaguy, and ala_xfire.

Some ideas. In a Roadster, anytime you turn the key on, if a door or the trunk lid is not fully closed OR if the top is not in it's fully up or fully down position, (or if the top module THINKS its not fully up or down), you will get a chime, warning you of that.
In the Coupe, I can't think of anything other than the driver door sense switch that would cause this. That switch (and the passenger door and trunk lid switches) are wired directly to the CLP-SSM (Central Locking Pump-Security System Module), the CLP-SSM then sends a message over the CAN BUS to the BCM. zip439 says to disconnect the battery to reset things, this may be good advice, perhaps either the BCM or CLP-SSM have "glitched" and got 'stuck' thinking the driver's door is open.
(In my SE, only the driver's door causes the chime, I don't have an SRT or Limited to test, I assume that all Crossfires only chime when the driver's door is opened, I don't know that is the case for sure, but I'm pretty sure they are all alike. Perhaps your issue is the passenger's door switch or the trunklid switch, I doubt they could cause this based on how my car acts, but perhaps another owner can check and chime in.)
Now since this all comes from the CLP-SSM, and since we all know how suseptible to water intrusion that device is, I suggest you remove the trim from the trunk and dig out the CLP-SSM and check for water intrusion. Again, I've never owned a coupe, I understand the CLP-SSM is under the trim in the trunk, in Roadsters, it's in the passenger side rear wheel well, but again, I don't think that's where it is in a coupe.
