Is there a way to verify our members? I had someone reach out about an item I have for sale on the marketplace only. He sent me a private message which is not unusual but I can't find his nickname on the site when I search. I thought he would have been on the site at least once? Or m I just being paranoid? Or I'm not searching correctly, any advice? If he buys my wheels it will be through PayPal so I'm not too worried .

All you can do is go to the message they sent.

At the top of the page, click the username and choose View public profile.

Anyting we know about them is there. But no one can message you here unless they are a member.
Anyway, the above link will show you how long they've been here, number of posts, number of threads they started, etc.

If you post up a WTB ad, you will be guaranteed to start receiving PMs from someone who joined fairly recently, and wants you to email them or a friend offsite. Scammer.

 

How do you remove a market place as?
