re: Next Generation Crossfire Improvements
Never going to happen, but let's pretend we live in fairly land...................
Of course, if they did bring it back, I'd never own one, for the same reason that I owned and loved three Ford Rangers and would never buy the new one: They ruined the Ranger and they'd ruin the Crossfire.
Such vehicles are a one-time occurance in the industry; today's market and political climate prevent such vehicles from being built again.
- A real sound system.
- An option for a larger non-compressed V6 or V8.
- Some better color choices: our yellow, silver and SSB colors are too nouveau riche for me. (If you don't get it, let me say it this way: Those colors inspire a big yawn at best and a vomiting episode at worst. They do fit the personality of Celine Dion, the model used in the ads, which brings me to my fourth bullet.)
- A marketing campaign that was not written by some out of touch moron (perhaps they were not out of touch, perhaps they intended to ruin the car's chances).

True brushed aluminium console/interior
Full leather upholstery
No plastic squeeky parts
MINI style switches, maybe also dials
Better hydroresistent design
Electrically dependable
Rustproof exterior
Mercedes-like gearlever (at least for the autotrans)
Quick responding semi-automatic option with steeringwheel peddles
Air suspension (maybe adjustable, although for me personally current suspension is hitting the exact sweet spot between comfort and agility)
ceramic exhaust manifolds

I'd like to see;
A wide range of colors.
A choice of hardtop or soft top convertible roofs or coupe.
Keep it a 2 seat sports car. Choice of cloth or leather interior with a variety of color and color combinations.
All new electronics.
Option for manual or automatic transmission.
Option of V-6 or V-8 (any horsepower range available).
I would keep the raked look. Maybe 19's up front 20's in the rear.
My one dream that I would love to see... Hideaway headlights! Like the Daytona or Corvette.

Hmmm, I can\t see the point in having a real sports coupe and still wanting the comfort stuff that's available in a reasonably priced daily driver. Sure if price is not a problem but otherwise my preferences would be - rack and pinion steering, optional suspension, brakes and wide wheels, na V8 engine. That would do for a start.
Re: Next Generation Crossfire Improvements
As dreaming goes, I would like to see more retro.
Let’s have some respect for the days of old where men were men, and fenders were fenders. The days where chrome was King, and not a pollutant. Days where pedestrians ruled the sidewalks and the car was the Beast of the Asphalt. The days where OSHA was a figment of the Darlings and women were along for the ride and the only accessory one needed.
one can dream.

Pfff, not that I want to feed any fantasies, but perhaps you are merely underestimating the appeal of your current Crossfire... ;-)
