Primary Cat Removal
If the primary cats are removed will there be any problems? e.g. car doesnt run right (rich/lean) engine lights?
I was told by my exhaust person that if I were to take out any of the cats it would be better to do the primaries because throttle response would be significantly improved.

I am not a hundred percent sure but pretty sure, that if you remove the first two, it would throw a code because that is where the o2 sensors read from. the second pair is ok to remove though
Thanks Voyager, I could take out the secondaries and put an X Pipe in there place, but if I knew for sure taking out the primaries wouldn't throw a code it would be much more beneficial to take them out.
np, and for a little info, I have removed my second cats and the car runs wonderful. but I don't think removing cats does anything to the hp or tq. but I am 99% sure the primaries will throw a code, POSSIBLY pull timing. lol don't quote me on that though
I did a little bit of snooping and found this link on the forum. HOPE IT HELPS! good luck with your car. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...at-delete.html
Thanks man, that was a good read and it just confirmed that its more trouble then its worth!
I'll just go with taking out the 2 rear cats, did you do an X pipe or just straight through pipes? I've deleted my resenator I hope it doesnt start to drone.
