Default Thinking of Painting my Rear License Plate Holder...

The car is going in the shop for a week thinking of painting the rear license plate area flat black to match my black theme on my aero blue SRT6. Going to paint my rear diffusers flat black to match everything. Wanted to add some contrast to the back.

Not sure about tinting the back tails being im in cali.

What do u guys think?

It was a member with a red car that had black and CF accents on the roof and following down the back centerline, but not sure the name.

For all my lenses, we removed from the car, wet sanded 5-7 times and used a clear coat with a touch of tint in it. We kept spraying until we got the desired effect, I think to 'match' my gray it was something like 5-6 coats. They have an AMAZING finish, like glass and just as reflective as the body paint. You can also do actual vinyl tint on them, like I had on my last black coupe. It is nice since its a lot less labor intensive (keep lenses in car, a good tinter can do pretty quick) and not permanent (can pull off the vinyl anytime with no adverse effects for resale value).

I say do it, but then again, I usually do

Vinyl is a good, non-permanent idea. Works well on cars. I know a few people who use vinyl to do "custom paint"

If you want to see how it looks, take a photo and photoshop it or do the old woody school approach and print the photos and color with a magic marker to get a personal feel of your own car.

Just saying....Enjoy. Woody
