Sounds suspiciously like an injector is not closing properly.
When you shut down, the remaining fuel line pressure ( 50-60 pounds ) could force fuel into an open intake valve into the combustion chamber and leak by the piston into the crankcase.

I had this happen on my 1990 GMC Suburban once, caught it before major damage and found the problem by luck - had the air cleaner off and was looking at the injectors as my wifey turned off the ignition. One of the 2 throttle body injectors just kept on spraying ......
( I eventually did have to replace the engine with a new long block, but not before 3 years later )

If you do a lot of short runs, it can be normal. Blowby will get into the crankcase. Usually the smell will go away (evaporate) after operating at normal temperatures. If the oil feels thinner than normal, or the oil level increases, then you may need to make a further diagnoses. James

Fuel pump?

Used oil does not smell like new oil and the products of gas combustion does end up in the oil so maybe it will smell like gas a bit.

I am curious how an electric fuel pump can put gas in your crankcase oil?

In the OLD DAYS, it was possible for a mechanical fuel pump to fill your crankcase with gas.

Blocked crankcase ventilation ? Evaporative emissions (vapor) canister ?

What is the air pump for ? Last time I saw an A.I.R. was on a '69 Z-28.
