Default navigation system in the Uk

Hi

I'm looking at my first crossfire and the dealer is trying to tempt me with the navingtion unit.

1. Is it any good.
2 Are the maps upto date.
3. Does it need a cd changer to play music and have nav?

Thanks

Colin

Don't bother, buy the TomTom Go instead. Much better.

I've already got Copliot 4 with Ipaq. So I was just wondering if it was any good.

Also I understand you need the nav head unit to make it work with an IPOD.

The DC unit is terrible for satnav with a really poor screen I'd steer well clear, we've been testing co Pilot 5 on smartphone and its so much better than the DC system you'd kick youself if you spent that kind of cash. It'd be cheaper to do a head unit replacement and buy an Ice Link for your pod in order to get it working.

I'm sure i saw someone on the forum who had it working with the standard head unit and they didn't use the FM TX units either.
