Automatic or manual. If it's manual, check the belt tensioner Damper. It could be the bushing on the damper are worn off and the damper is rattling. You should not have an oil light on unless you do not have the proper amount of oil. Maybe a sensor or over filled. To much is just like not enough.
My car too was ticking when idling.. Apparently it's a common thing with these engines.. Specially when the engine is cold.
I read a post on here as to how to fix this problem. I got a can of seafoam, put half in the gas tank and the other half in the oil. Drove for a hundred miles or so and then changed the oil.. This stuff will clean your injectors and clean your engine right out... Ticking is now gone... The ticking actually went away after 15 minutes of idling after putting the safoam in the engine... And it hasn't come back since.. Go to the search and enter seafoam.. You will find the posts that give a step by step as to what to do and how much to put.. Good luck
