I have owned a 2004 Crossfire for about a year now. Lately, it seems like the blower fan has a mind of it's own. When I start the car, the fan will be running in what I would consider a normal speed. It will suddenly speed up, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for several minutes, and the slow back down to the original speed. It doesn't seem to matter if the a/c is on or off, nor does it seem to be temperature dependent. When the fan speeds up, moving the fan speed switch still increases or decreases the speed, but it continues to run even on the '0' position. I'm not sure if this is as designed, or if there's some type of issue.

 

I have the same type of issue with my crossfire, I have a 2005 limited coupe, six speed manual. Once I start the car up and it has been running for a while and I decide to turn off the air conditioner, it will continue to blow even if I turn it off. I have tried several different combinations, like making sure the recirculating air button is off/then on, but sometimes I turn the air to the off position, and it continues to blow. Since I live in Texas it is very hot here and the air conditioning is actually very cold so I haven't really bothered with it any further.

 

are you guys talking about the a/c blower in the car continuing to blow air at you when the switch if off? or the fan under the hood? the fan under the hood is engine temperature dependant. the hotter the engine gets, the faster the fan will blow. when the coolant temp goes down a little, it will slow back down.

 

I was talking about the air conditioner inside the car, which sometimes even if I switch it off it still continues to blow out cold air for up to 20-30 minutes in the off position?? I thought it was really strange but I haven't bothered with it, as long as it's cold.

 

I am also talking about the climate control blower. Although, I have not had the issue of it running after the car is shut off. Mine just speeds up and slows down intermittently with no apparent reason.
