2005 SRT6 Roadster Infinity
I pulled the Infinity Sys out of my 2005 SRT6 Roadster: Six Speakers, Amp (fits under passenger front mat), and Receiver.
The car only has 15,000 miles.
Anyone interested?

Anyone needing the stereo wiring diagram can find it in this link.
BTW, the radio in the SRT6 is the same as the limited. Although it's been debated here that the radio in the roadsters have a built-in volume adjustment for road noise. Some say they have it others say they don't. Mine does.

jeno thanks for the photo, are there any adjustments on the sides, or just the connectors ? Definitely will be some adjustments inside, but better figure out what we have here first. It actually looks like a beefy amp, I'll see if I can find any crossreference to the amp, might be able to do some fun things with it. In my Viper I found the specs for the amp and learned that it was 2ohm stable. IIRC it was only something like 35w/channel, not exactly a powerhouse considering what it was in, but I was able to run 2ohm speakers and double the power and it sounded much better. I'm sure these Infinity amps are 2ohm stable too, almost anything made the past ten years is at least 2phm stable....might be an easy upgrade to some better sound.
Dan thanks for the link to the Xfire audio repair guide. A couple of interesting items in it - I hope theres a capacitor on the tweeters, else the tweaters are running full range.
It's interesting that the amp is shown connecting to the body control module and the antilock brake controller. If you lay on the brakes does the stereo pause or mute ? I wouldn't be suprised if it had a built-in volume adjustment for road noise on the roadsters, my Viper has that. I don't see a lot of after-market head units that offer that feature.

I'm willing to bet the volume adjustment for the roadster is built into the amp. I changed out my head unit and still using the infinity amp and can still hear the increase in volume at higher speeds with my roadster.

I have never noticed that before. But now that you mentioned it I will try it and see if it happens.
Nothing external. I had a difficult time finding any specs for this amp. Chrysler USA had nothing to offer. Did you say that this amp also provided or received something from the antilock sys? I hope not because my tech just ripped it out. What a fricking caveat that would present.

jeno in the audio guide Dan posted it shows a connection from the amp to the antilock brake controller. As crossfirefrank has suggested that the roadsters built-in volume adjustment is controlled from the amp and not the head, perhaps the ABS controller feeds the speed sensor data to the amp to controll the built-in volume adjustment.
I've been searching for some type of specs or other data on this amp, so far nothing. I did find some posts here that others have replaced just the factory amp and said the door speakers sounded great (and were high quality). When I get my SRT I'm going to try some testsusing a couple of old school Orion amps I have in the garage to see iif a better amp will sound better with the factory speakers.
After the install of my new Alpine iDa X100, the ABS indicator lamp turned on for a few minutes. It's off now.
To put a dependency on the ABS for volume seems like it might be cool; however, now that Daimler has divorced Chrysler, I bet it would be near impossible to get support for how to integrate this item with a new amp. I hope the dependency is only one way.
Thanks for the info. I guess I better hold on to this amp just incase I have to install it as a placeholder to support this dependency. At least it would tell the ABS that every thing is fine.
