Default Help needed on Door Popper wiring

I'm installing a set of Auto Loc door poppers in the car and have everything hooked up except the Negative Output from the keyless system.

I am not good with electronics and have spent the better half (I should say worse half) of a day trying to find this damn wire.

So all of you electronic geniuses out there, PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Have you checked wiring diagrams in the manual?

Yea, not the most helpful. I think I figured it out last night with a little help from Youtube.

Is it a pulsed negative output? Chances are pretty good it is so all you need to do is connect the negative pulsed output from the AutoLoc to pin 86, +12VDC to pins 85 and 30 and the positive wire from the solenoid on the door popper to pin 87. You will not have anything connected to 87a so if you only find a 4 pin relay, it won't have this and are sometimes a few cents cheaper. Make sure you go with a relay large enough to handle the load the solenoid will require. Best thing to do is connect it all outside the vehicle if you can so you can diagnose what isn't workign correctly before putting it behind door panels and running wires through the boot in the door.

Hope this helps and if you have any other questions, fell free to give me a call.

THat's the realy I have.

I have the HOT from the solenoid to 87, 86 and 30 are to the battery, and 85 is where I'm stumped. I don't know where the negative pulsed output is. Electrical stuff is not my forte at all...

Which AutoLoc model are you using. I'm sure I either have the manual on my computer or can download it from their FTP site and I'll tell you which one it is.

Electronics are like women, when you understand how they work and do everything right, good things happen when you turn them on.
