Default Problem with OE Navigation Stereo

The subwoofers on my original navigation stereo system don't seem to work. I've checked fuses, turned the bass to max and still no sound from the speakers in the back panel. The door speakers work fine. Can anyone help to solve the problem?

Get a Dream Theater CD and play it loud. If you still can't hear the bass, they're probably dead.

My guess is that you have not put the crossover capacitors in the door speakers so you can't hear the subs behind the seat.

Move one of the seats all the way forward and crank some tunes. Put your hand on the subs. If it's working you should be able to feel it.

If the moles start climbing out of holes in the grass and go running, they're probably working.

I cranked the sound all the way and still nothing. My hands dance on the door speakers but the moles can sleep on the rear speakers.

There is a thread in this section that documents the leads and values to the subs (four per sub). You need to check for output on them before getting new subs - the amp could be the culprit

I did find the thread. I'll get to the amp and test the ohm output. I have a feeling its the amp. Thanks for your help.
